Alice Nayak, MD
I am a practicing Internal Medicine Primary Care doctor and life coach interested in helping people silence their inner critic so that they may create space for joy and connection. During my career, I have loved my relationships with patients but have also experienced the pain of increasing demands of the EMR, paperwork and MyChart. The burnout in medicine is astounding and has worsened with the pandemic, but I believe that we are able to heal. After 16 years as an internist, I chose to become a certified life coach through the Martha Beck’s Wayfinder training, Shirzad Chamnie’s Positive Intelligence training and Jonathan Fields certified Sparketype Assessment. I am building my coaching practice and am especially interested in working with the medical community. If you are feeling stuck or want more clarity and joy in your life, please contact me for an introductory meeting. Reach Alice at alicenayak@gmail.com and https://www.alicenayakmd.com

Laura Ryan, MD
I am an emergency medicine physician, writer, and coach, with certification through The Neuroleadership Institute and the Positive Intelligence program. My path to coaching began with a quest to improve my health. Coaching provided insight into the ways in which I was sabotaging my efforts to make my life healthier and more peaceful. We are not provided with early or ongoing instruction in how to use our pre-industrial brains in a modern world. Coaching facilitates positive growth and change by improving thinking and emotional intelligence. My area of focus is habit change, as recognizing and rerouting habitual patterns of thought and behavior is the locus of positive growth.

Ellen Singer, MD
I am internist/pediatrician with 28 years of experience in direct and virtual ambulatory care, hospital care and health care administration and leadership. I am passionate about helping others find meaningful moments and careers in clinical medicine.
My coaching practice is inspired by the transitions and resilience I sense as I explore the trails, wooded forests and opens landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. I am trained in CoActive and Positive Intelligence coaching. I employ the framework and techniques of these training paradigms in my coaching practice. Each of us has values and wishes that ground our choices. We can and will make creative and sustainable choices for our future. There is a seasonality and fluidity to this work that emulates our natural world. Each of us senses and knows this ecology intuitively.
When we work together you will have the opportunity to use movement and metaphor to make conscious choice for your future. My coaching style is rooted in empathy, storytelling, and reflection. I look forward to working with you.
Katie Townes, DO
I’m a board-certified full-time neonatologist, physician coach, physician wellness consultant & leader, and founder of the Oregon Physician Coach Collective. I completed my pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in 2014.
In my coaching practice, I help physicians overcome their burnout and ultimately reclaim their joy in medicine. Some key topics I love coaching on are time management and finishing charts, integrating self-care, overcoming call dread, and dealing with difficult patients and relationships.
I live in southern Oregon with my husband, kids, and two golden doodle pups. You’ll often find us taking extended trips exploring the U.S. while “road-schooling” the kiddos in our airstream.
